APSS Announces John Weiss as Software Advisory Executive Board Member

COLUMBUS, OHIO (September 12, 2017) – Alert Public Safety Solutions (APSS), today announced that John Weiss, Captain for the City of Willard, OH Fire and Rescue has been appointed as an executive board member of the APSS Software Advisory Board.

Weiss, a Firefighter/Paramedic and EMS Coordinator for the City of Willard Fire and Rescue has an extensive public safety background.  Weiss also holds numerous certifications from the Association of Public-Safety Communication Officials (APCO) as a Public Safety Telecommunicator (PST), Emergency Medical Dispatcher (EMD), and EMD-Instructor.  Weiss is a member of the Huron County (OH) CAD Committee which includes members of various Law, Fire, and EMS agencies within the county that created a virtual consolidated PSAP in 2013 through the implementation of APSS Product Suite™.

Willard Fire and Rescue has been an APSS client since 2013 implementing all aspects of APSS First Due™, Rescue™ and Operations™, including:  RMS Incident Reporting, Hose Records, Inspections, State Submission, Fleet Maintenance, Journal, and Training encompassing the entire APSS Product Suite™ for Fire and EMS along with APSS Sentinel™, the mobile product line.  Weiss has been an active user of the APSS line of products encouraging development of the software and enhanced user experiences.

The APSS Software Advisory Board (SAB), welcomes Weiss to the executive board and looks forward to using his knowledge and strength in the product line to drive the future development of the software and the company.
